Our neighbor took some great pics of Ella on a recent walk down our street!

Ella is 1 month old now and she is growing so fast! She's getting cuter an cuter..she's becoming very aware of her surroundings and she's taking a little more time to enjoy life. 8lbs 8oz at weeks old.

I caught Grandma Dodd trying to sneak Ella into her suitcase. You have to watch those Dodd's every second!

Jen's parents spend 4 days with us getting to know Ella! Jayne cooked us a bunch of food and Rick hung some pictures and curtains. Each got to spend lots of time with Ella, which she loved!

Ella's spent her 8th day of life with Mom

We took some great pics of Ella immediately after nursing. She crashes hard. I put her on our bed and took a few pictures. Jen also gave her a sponge bath, which she didn't really care for, but it didn't last long. :-)

I think the title sums up the pictures in these albums. Ella has captured our hearts and it's just impossible now to imagine our lives without her! We arrived home late Friday afternoon from the hospital. After a little time getting adjusted, and some adjustments by her parents. Ella settled in magnificently. :-)

Ella ended her 2nd day with a visit from Brent's mom, dad, and two aunties Nesa and Melissa. Ella took it to the wire, but she is now consistently nursing thanks to a joint mom/dad effort. We are quite confidant she would have slept through the entire 2nd night, had we not woken her to nurse at 4am. She is our little angel.

Ella is back from the nursery and all swaddled up. My sister and Melissa came up from Atlanta to say "hello" to Ella!

6lbs 14 oz of pure joy entered the world today at 5pm. 11 hours of labor that started at 5am. Jen would agree, it went fast, she was 7cm by the time we got to the doctors office!! She's a trooper. :-) More later.

Melissa Cline had a baby shower for me on January 12th, 2008. It was held at The Kitchen at Elkin Creek. It was a wonderful shower and I received so many great things. Thanks Melissa!!

Since I am 34 weeks pregnant we can not be traveling so Brent's family was nice and came to our home for Christams.

Don't worry about it.

My family was kind enough to travel to NC to celebrate Thanksgiving. We all had a great time during the week. We traveled to Virginia and visited the Natural Bridge, the caves and Thomas Jefferson's home.
